Kickplay Community Guidelines
The following Community Guidelines are here to help you understand what it means to be a member of Kickplay. Don't forget that your use of Kickplay is subject to these Guidelines and our Terms of Use.
What to do
- Do upload photos that you've taken.
Upload your own photos and sounds and enjoy your creations! Respect the copyrights of others. This means don't steal photographs other people have taken and don’t steal images, sounds or games that are copyrighted.
- Do decide carefully if you want to share images and sounds or games, and make them public. It is very important you realize once images, sounds, games are public they need to stay public, unless there is a violation with the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy or Community Guidelines. Kickplay is designed to allow other users to use the public content when making their own games. If you have any doubts about sharing and making something public then keep it private.
- moderate your content.
Kickplay is not for pornography or sexually explicit content. Don't post images showing dangerous or illegal acts, like animal abuse, drug abuse, or bomb making. You need to take responsibility for ensuring that what you upload is appropriately filtered. If you save images, sounds, or games as public instead of private, please realize that your content will be used by others, including children of qualifying age on Kickplay. Public images, sounds and games are meant for general audiences. If you would hesitate to show your games, images/photos or sounds to anyone in the general public such as a child, your parents or relatives, then your content needs to be filtered. Its best to error on the side of caution – when in doubt, leave it out of the public classification, and keep it private. Mature content is intended for those registered users who are 18 years or older and who choose to view mature content. If your judgment proves to be poor in flagging mature content, we'll moderate your account to match appropriate ratings for content type and send you a warning.
- Do enjoy Kickplay!
Be creative and enjoy your creations!
What not to do
Here’s the deal: In most circumstances, we like to give second chances, so we’ll send you a warning if you step across any of the lines listed below. Subsequent violations can result in account termination without warning.
- Don’t upload anything that isn't yours.
This includes other people's photographs/images and/or stuff that you've collected from around the Internet. Accounts that consist primarily of such collections may be terminated at any time.
- Don’t forget the children.
Take the opportunity to filter your content responsibly and mark images, sounds, games or comments for mature content when appropriate. If you don’t, it’s likely that one of two things will happen. Your account will be reviewed, then either moderated or terminated by Kickplay staff. Its best to error on the side of caution – when in doubt, leave it out.
- Don’t upload content that is illegal or prohibited.
If we find you doing that, your account will be deleted and we'll take appropriate action, which may include reporting you to the authorities.
- Don’t vent your frustrations, rant, or bore the brains out of other members.
Kickplay is not a venue for you to harass, abuse, impersonate, or intimidate others. If we receive a valid complaint about your conduct, we’ll send you a warning or terminate your account.
- Don’t be creepy.
You know the guy. Don't be that guy.
- Don’t use your account to host web graphics like logos and banners.
Your account will be terminated if we find you using it to host graphic elements of web page designs, icons, smilies, buddy icons, forum avatars, badges, and other non-photographic elements on external web sites.
- Don’t use Kickplay for commercial purposes.
Kickplay is for personal use only. If we find you selling products, services, or yourself through the Site, we will terminate your account. Any other commercial use of Kickplay, Kickplay technologies, or Kickplay accounts must be approved by Kickplay. If you have other open questions about commercial usage of Kickplay, please feel free to contact us.
Here are some other things to keep in mind:
Other People (their content, their behavior)
You will see all sorts of things on Kickplay, some of which may offend you. If you are offended by a photo, sound or game you can either click away from the photo, sound or game or you can mark it as poorly moderated by clicking on the "Flag as Inappropriate” link. If you think there's immediate cause for concern, you can report content and/or someone's behavior to Kickplay staff.
Copyright Infringement
If you see your photographs, images or sounds being displayed without your permission don't panic. This is probably just a misunderstanding and not malicious. A good first step is to contact them and politely ask them to remove it. If their email address is not available or after contacting them you are not satisfied, please email us at wecare@kickplay.com.
In Conclusion
We’ve crafted these guidelines to ensure that everyone within the community has the experience they want. We’re all in this together so it’s important that you understand the importance of moderating your content responsibly. If you don't feel that you can abide by our Community Guidelines as outlined above, maybe Kickplay isn't for you.
If you ever have any questions or comments, we'd love to hear from you. Please feel free to drop us a line.
